ASB
Inspiring a World of New Possibilities at ASB.
Background
The event organisers for ASB 2020 Live were seeking an inspiring keynote speaker who could engage their 1,200 strong audience and deliver fresh thinking to challenge the status quo.
The challenge
To inspire and engage ASB team members through a keynote presentation and a human-centred design workshop with a difference.
“It was a pleasure to have Russell deliver the keynote presentation at our annual ASB Live event which is attended by approximately 1,200 staff.
Russell is extremely passionate about CX and this came through in his keynote on the subject of Frictionless Magic. He was clear and insightful on emerging technology trends can be used to get closer to the customer and made this relevant by showing how this could be applied to banking. Feedback from attendees was really positive.”
— Claire McKinnon, Acting Executive General Manager Retail Banking at ASB
Driving change and innovative thinking as an inclusive company wide exercise.
Inspiring, Ideating, Synthesizing.
Our solution
When ASB reached out to D&Co to help support their annual employee conference we were delighted and jumped on the opportunity. Through multiple meetings with their lead event team we discussed ways in which we could embed fresh thinking and coach an introduction to CX and human-centred design.
We designed an engaging, high energy keynote that received incredible feedback. Post the keynote we ran an introductory workshop to teach the ASB team some foundational human-centred design methods from our proprietary Experience Design System.
We focussed on key challenges the bank faced and used the power of the group to generate hundreds of ideas. These ideas were collected post the workshop and the D&Co set out to affinity cluster and synthesise ideas into key territories for further exploration. Key themes emerged and we were able to arrive at a series of key concepts to share with the ASB team.
We facilitated a series of workshops where we shared back outputs and ran desirability vs difficulty modelling to shortlist ideas for further prototyping and customer testing.
Deliverables:
Keynote speech research, ideation, design and delivery. Human centred design workshop design and facilitation at scale. Workshop output synthesis, ideation and concept refinement. Desirability vs Difficulty modelling. Concept delivery.
